A sad day has come here at the Acts, Lizzy the pet Salamander died over the weekend. The cause is unknown but she looks like she died a peaceful death. We will burry Lizzy on Wednesday and she will be leaving our world the same way she came to us, in a juice container. That really does sum up the life of Lizzy, like a great Shakespearian play she was all comedy with a Tragic end. It strange to say it but it has only been a few days and I honestly admit that I miss her. She graced our lives for three years and over this time you really get to see a pets personality. Lizzy had loads of it. I will miss the way she figured every time you went to the tank was feeding time. I will mis her slow crawl. I will miss the way she look at you and seemed to smile when you held her in your hand. I will remember the story of how we got her and I will remember the first live spider we gave her. I will remember how happy she looked when we made her tank larger and she had so much more space to hide, that smile and those little eyes with a mound of dirt on her face was priceless. I will remember the countless times she couldn't get the food in front of her face yet went the hunt was on she was perfect. I won't forget how when ever you got close she would crawl towards you and stick a little salamander hand out as if to say "hello!" Yea we sure had our times. I never thought I could get attached to a critter such as a Salamander but Lizzy was something else, she was a pet and a friend. Lizzy you will be missed.
